Exchange Traded Funds (ETF)

The schedule for ETF yield payments is the same for publicly traded funds based on indexes as for publicly traded shares.

Date and amount of the yield payment
Fund Management Company that manages publicly traded funds shall define the yield payment on each index fund unit so that there is a stock exchange trade settlement period (T+3) between the AGM´s yield payment decision and the record date.
The payment date is the fifth banking day after the record date, unless the Chief Executive Officer of the Euroclear Finland has granted exemption from this schedule.

Execution
The Fund Management Company shall submit preliminary information about a yield payment to Euroclear Finland immediately the yield payment proposal is public and submit the confirmation after the AGM of the Fund Management Company (decision on yield payment).

Payment date -1
We will send the payment data balance report to the issuer, its agent or the account bank by 11.30 a.m. which shall pay the cash required to the account operators by 1.00 p.m.

Taxation
Distributed profit is capital income for its receiver, so for domestic natural persons withholding tax is deducted, and for foreigners tax at source is deducted in accordance with any tax treaty. No tax is withheld from domestic companies or incorporations.
For foreign companies and incorporations, tax at source is deducted in accordance with any tax treaty concerning distribution of profit by mutual funds.
Account operators shall remit withholding tax and tax at source from mutual funds to the tax authorities on the twelfth day of the following month.

Yield payment amendments
The clearing members and the account operators amend incorrect yield payments after the yield payment date.
